Caution: the stakes are very delicate
First, it's important to point out that this product is not a single, 100-foot-long cord & kit, but rather four 25-foot-long sets of cords and lights, with all 100 stakes bundled in a single, separate package, which you then assemble yourself. Knowing that you're not committed to using the full length if your pathway is shorter than a hundred feet, and you can hang one or more of the cords instead would be useful information to have up front. However, the thing you have to know is the construction of the stakes themselves is just not that good, relying on a fragile hinge design that snaps apart very easily. Indeed, as I opened the package I was very disappointed to see nearly two dozen stakes arrived broken at the hinge already and were not usable. We got creative and figured out a DIY solution to make the last stretch of stakes work for the remaining pathway lights, but given the price of this product, it's a little frustrating to have to deal with this unexpected problem.
