Purchased 1 box just to see what they were like. We live in an old farmhouse and like the look of the incandescent C9 bulbs. I strung the bulbs and hung them in the backyard along side an incandescent string, had my wife come out and tell me if she could tell the difference and she couldn't. The next day we purchased 12 more boxes to replace all the lights. Also, I like that they are plastic instead of glass, use much less energy and should last for years.

These C9 lights are excellent. Brighter than the old incandescent, run cool and LED lasts for years and years. They use way less electricity and you can run more strings per circuit. Great colors, fair prices. Indoor or outdoor these are the best lights in town.

The Best!
Really captures the look of incandescent C9 bulbs, perhaps brighter. The colors are exactly right, the plastic construction is quite durable, and mine have not scratched or flaked after rough handling, sub zero temps and strong winds. In fact, I am not sure I want anyone else to know about these. I have to think about this...

C9 120V Dimmable Multicolor Smooth OptiCore LED Christmas Light Bulbs
Only gave 4 stars because I have not hung them up and used them for any length of time. They look great so I sure hope they will last. I took them out of the box and laid them down next to my old ceramic incandescent lights in a dark room. The colors and brightness were a match. They also did not have that blurry look that some LEDs have. I am excited to have the old traditional look with the energy savings of LED.

C9 Multicolor Smooth OptiCore LED Christmas Light Bulbs
I have been loathed to switch to LED Christmas lights, because I favor the old-fashioned, opaque bulbs. Finally, there is an LED bulb that has the warm glow of the old opaque bulbs without the associated heat and potential fire hazard. These bulbs look every bit as inviting as the old-fashioned lights that I grew up with. The only thing I would request is a sixth color: yellow. Otherwise, I love them and intend to retire all of my old, incandescent light strings. The LEDs are a bit pricey, but they will last. The bulbs don't break, and they won't need to be replaced as often, so it is worth the investment.

Do not go for those C9 stringers in the big box stores. Look no further then these Opticore C9 retrofit bulbs. They are bright, and give similar glow that a regular c9 bulb gives, if not brighter. Definitely worth it. I will be buying more down the road.

Great lights better than incandescents
Ive not found any C9 LED bulbs that could match the incandescent bulbs. Until now. These bulbs are at least as bright, if not more, than the incandescent bulbs weve been using for decades. And I cannot tell the difference when I look at a strand of lights where I have a mix of both. Great LED bulbs. The first real alternative to the incandescent bulbs Ive come across. Very pleased and recommend. I have pics but cannot attach them but if I could you could easily see what Im talking about.

Opticores Vivid, Bright, Uniformly Lit
I transitioned from the classic incandescent multicolor C9s. While I will always miss that warm, colorful look, these Opticore LEDs are amazing and made that change easy. The colors are vivid and the bulbs are uniformly lit. I was surprised at how much more light these put off than other C9 LEDs I purchased from a large box store. The box store LEDs were not nearly as bright and were only well lit near the light source. I look forward to buying more.

Best C9 Replacement
We like the look of the old school C9 style bulbs. Have tried a few LED strands with mini bulbs but they were weak in appearance. Wanting to get away from high wattage incandescent bulbs we tried these. The C9 bases screwed right in to our old light strings, they are bright but not too bright, and the color is good. We would definitely purchase them again!

These lights not only look like the old C9s, but they are definitely brighter than all the other LEDs in the market. They're durable and can be screwed into my existing light strands, so I don't need to buy whole new sets. I'm glad I found these!

A great LED substitute
These bulbs are worth the additional cost. I have looked for an LED C9 bulb to switch out our older opaque incandescent bulbs. These bulbs have the same rich color and brightness of incandescent opaque C9 bulbs. I tested them next to incandescent bulbs and showed the light string to people - asking them to pick out the LED bulbs Most could not distinguish the difference. On the house - they are completely indistinguishable. Well worth the cost for these bulbs.

The C9 Smooth Opticore LED bulb is finally what traditionalists have wanted from a LED light. These produce more soft warm glow and more vibrant colors than their incandescent predecessors. With their anti corrosive bases, individual replacement ability, not to mention 90% energy savings, these bulbs bring Christmas decorating back to its roots. These even fit into the C9 cords you may have left over from older traditional sets yet can string together multiple sets with safe energy efficiency. I purchased 21 sets to restore my original C9 sets from years ago. I've had other LED C9 sets in recent years but nothing like these professional individual replacement bulbs. WORTH EVERY PENNY.

I bought 4 different kinds of c9 lights and strings from three different resources including your big box stores in search of an LED solution that at the minimum matched the traditional Christmas lighting I grew up with. Some products stated 2x brighter on the box... When I plugged these in next to a traditional C9 bulb it was only about half the brightness. I was falling short of my goal... until I ordered these. To my delight they were even a touch brighter than the incandescent string I had. I immediately ordered another 4 sets. This is one of those cases that you get what you pay for. Totally worth the additional expense over what you may find in the box stores! Good bye incandescent strings.
