Glitter coat wears off

We wanted to love it, but when we received it the glitter coating had worn off in several spots. These weren't immediately apparent - we only saw it when we plugged it in. Then the "white" spots are much easier to see, and make the star look worn out and beat up. We are sending it back.

11" Mosaic Bethlehen Star Tree Topper

I wanted something different and this was it. The light is subdued, not overly bright, and the colors are deep and rich. It displays beautifully.
